Factory building by Multi-bay Portal Frame system
Introduction for the Project
*The structure is steel frame to cover area of 60x50 m2 of a factory building.
* The structure is located in Egypt.
* spacing between main system = 5m.
* spacing between Purlin = 2.5m.
* Span of portal frame = 30m.
* The roof slop is (1 :5).
* The roof is inaccessible.
* Use corrugated sheets is double corrugated sheets.
* The height of column is 8 m and Crane Level at 6m.
* Crane load capacity is 15 ton.
* All Steel element are design according to the EGYPTION Code of practice EECP 205-2001.
* All Steel elements are design according to simple.
* Steel used for design is Steel 37.
* Concrete strength for foundation ( Fcu) = 250 Kg/cm2 .
* Bearing Capacity= 1.75 Kg/cm2
* Use HSB M22 Grade 10.9 For Rafter-column Connections and the type of Connections is Rigid Connections.
* Use HSB M20 Grade 10.9 for Rafter- Rafter Connections and the type of Connections is Rigid Connections.
Use Non pretention bolts (ordinary bolts) in Vertical bracing nd
HZ Bracing and (Connection between purlin and rafter) and (between sid girts and end gable with column) .
